Jamie and Josh's Christmas Past...

Image
People often assume I only like neutrals and do not like color. Yes, I do prefer neutrals in my own home, but I have to say I do love color. Earlier this week I went ahead and used a TON of red on our back porch. I have taken photos, I just need to size and watermark them. In the meantime, I thought I would share with you again some photos of Jamie and Josh's house decorated for Christmas last year which included some pops of red. Here is their living room: Our mom made these stockings for Jamie and Josh:   Their space looked so beautiful with the tree all lit up.  And here is their dining room (which has since become their family room and the dining room was moved down the hall) .  I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday! Can you believe that Christmas is less than two weeks away???? Warmly, Jenni

I am so excited to be able to tell you all that Lillie and Lola are getting another cousin! Jamie and Josh are expecting their first baby early next March! These were the first photos I took when we arrived in NH this summer and I have been patiently waiting until this week when Jamie starts her second trimester to tell you all! (She's much more patient than I am - haha). Anyway, we are all thrilled and cannot wait to meet their little bundle of joy. They are going to make such fabulous parents. Lillie's pretty excited too, and I am sure Lola will be once she's aware of what's happening. One day last week Lillie asked me for a box. I asked her what it was for and she said she couldn't tell me because it was a secret. I told her I needed to know the general idea of what the box was for to make sure it...

Jamie and Josh's New Den

Last week I showed you the first part of Jamie and Josh's dining room/den swap and today I am so excited to show you the second part, because it's my favorite! For a little refresher you can click on this post and see what it looked like before when it was their dining room . Because they have a nice little seating area in their kitchen they didn't regularly use their dining room and thought it would be nice to move their den to the room off of the kitchen to help with the flow and making it so everyone could all hang out together more comfortably in the area of their home that they spend the most time in. I have to say I am a HUGE fan of the switch!  The first thing they did was paint the walls a slightly lighter color, Cotswald AF-150, by Benjamin Moore, to help provide a little more contrast between the chocolate love seat and the walls. Then they raised the chandelier (from Ballard Designs) seeing how the dining room table was no longer underneath it. Pretty much everyo...
