Modern House Minimalist Design

Because I was doing the red for Lillie I went ahead and went for a fun look out on the porch this year. I used our red reindeer pillow and flanked it with two pillows that were on sale at Target. I covered my bolster pillows with some red ticking stripe fabric (I just rolled them and tied the ends so they would be easy to remove once Christmas is over) and added the blanket as well. And here is the other side of the porch: We've been working on some printed chalkboards to sell. Here is one we were practicing. The proportions of the one we made looked better out there though: We still have a few s ilent night signs left ! They are on sale for just $7.95!  Also, for the first time we are offering our Silent Night, Holy Night sets in white ink ! I hope you all have a blessed Tuesday.

Per Lillie's request we put a whole lot of red on our porch this year.  I thought I would show you the table setting today and then hopefully get the rest of the pictures watermarked and ready to go for tomorrow to show you the rest of the porch. Although it was a bit of a departure for me to go this bright with all of the red but seeing Lillie's excitement made it worth it! I used pomegranate's, red ticking fabric, and our joy cutouts   for each place setting. Then I first tried some poinsettia's in my dough bowl but they were just too bright for me. So, I switched to something simple and just used a few candles and some greenery I cut from the woods which I like so much better!     We also wanted to let you know we have a new sign now available in our shop !  I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Once I got my inside holiday decor figured out on our first Christmas in the house, it really hasn’t changed much and I have only purchased or made a couple of new things to add each year.  Since this was our first year with the porch and since we use it every.single.day, I wanted to deck it out for Christmas!    The littles helped me plant white pansies in the pots on the stairs. I added a white fur pillow and fleecy throw (both things I already had) to the sofa.  Sister helped me trim the tree in burlap ribbon (Hobby Lobby), clear glass ball ornaments (Michael’s) and oyster shells (left over from the DIY chandelier ).  The baby fell in love with the tree topper at Hobby Lobby and I couldn’t say no.  He clutched it in his arms the whole way home :-)  I put mini lights and large lights on the tree and it looks gorgeous at night.
