Hello everyone...... We just found out that our son's documentary about us called "Married to Art" unfortunately will not be aired until some time in March or April! So, we apologize for this inconvenience but we didn't really find out about the change in the broadcast times until just the other day. Hello friends, family, acquaintances...... We wanted to let you know some very exciting news!! Our son Matthew's short documentary, "Married to Art" and an interview with Matthew about his film will be airing 4 times on BYU TV between this Wednesday and next Wednesday as part of a very interesting program called, "First Look". Matthew's documentary is about us......as artists/sculptors......and the balance between the artwork we collaborate on and our life together as a married couple. Our other son, Michael, also composed the music for this film. The interview with Matthew as the director of "Married to Art" will air prior to the film. This is very exciting news for our entire family (as it was a family project ) since BYU TV can be viewed almost anywhere in the world, where people either have a dish or cable. I have been organizing my computer files lately and had forgotten about these wonderful little pieces that Mike and I made quite a while ago. I just love them.......it's so fun to see the work one does from the past......it gives you a good perspective of where you are, artistically. I have made so many little pieces of fairy furniture; I have pictures of almost every piece, but each little creation is so very special to me. I miss the ones that I have sold or given away. I am sure every artist is that way about their art......you create something and it becomes part of you and you create that work of art from your soul. I wish I could talk to all the people who have bought my pieces to see how they are enjoying them. I hope you will enjoy these. I made some new pieces the other day and will post them soon on my blog. Today is Sunday and such a beautiful day. So peaceful and quiet. Hi everyone! Just wanted to tell you again that Mike and I have made some truely wonderful little films for children! My favorite one is called "The Little People from the Enchanted Treehouse". It is so cute and charming. It is about the wonderful little characters who live in the Enchanted Treehouse in the forest. Hello dear friends....... I have been thinking about my blog and how I have usually just posted photographs. I have found so many beautiful pictures from the internet......so many people share such beauty and sensitivity. But I have thought so much about things that I have not shared......my thoughts and feelings, things that I cherish and ponder about. I really want to share more of my dreams and thoughts with others. My husband and I are spending a lot of time alone lately. As our job as decorative painters is through at the state capital, we are not working now. Rather, we are trying to work on our children's film......."The Enchanted Treehouse". It's so difficult though to discipline ourselves to a schedule. As artists, we love having time to be creative, to look for other artists whose work truely inspires us and to just follow our motivations to learn and enjoy ourselves. But we haven't gotten enough done on our film!!! We finally have a basic story now to w...

I have been thinking so much about all the artwork that I have.......so many beautiful paintings and collages, photographs, little fairy furniture, little found object sculptures......just so many creations that sit and talk to me all around our house. I really don't know what I would do without them.......they keep me moving forward each day. They are like dear, sweet friends that I have known for an eternity. Art that you create is something of the soul......it is like a story you invent and you can make up any character, place, setting, time period......and it stays the way you make it. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't be an artist and a writer. But, it is difficult to do so. To live and be an artist is a drama in itself! We are going to go out for a walk.......Mike and I have been spending the last three weeks practically all in our apartment!!!
