Cape Town, Africa

Well, here I am in Africa! Wow! I had a full day of travel (24 hours+) to get here, but I am finally here. I arrived in Cape Town to be picked up by Andy and his cousin Julie. We stayed for a few days in an eco-hostel on the edge of Cape Town. We could see a beautiful mountain outside our window and were far enough away from things that it was nice and quiet.

The last few days have been a whirl wind for me. I feel like I just jumped straight into life here. We've been seeing some of the most beautiful scenery that I've ever seen. Beaches, mountains, whales, sand so white that it hurts your eyes, crystal blue ocean water, all sorts of little animals, vineyards, old friends...and the list goes on. We've also been to a few different wineries where we've done tastings. The wine here is great! Yesterday I tried a wine with hints of green pepper and an aftertaste of butter. You'd have to try it to understand it's incredible taste.

I think in the next day or two we will be moving on from Cape Town. The plan is to head up the Garden Route, which is along the eastern coast. I hear it is a beautiful place to be traveling. Along the way we hope to do the worlds longest bungee jump and hopefully get scuba certified. I'm sure plenty more adventures will follow.

South Africa has been wonderful so far, here's to more safe travels and awesome adventures to come! I hope all is well back home in the States.
