Healthy Halloween
Healthy Halloween?? It may come as a shock but no, this blog has not been hijacked.
The baby’s class had their Halloween party at school today and I purchased little Dole mandarin orange cups. To turn them into pumpkins, l flipped them over and drew jack-o-lanterns faces on the sides with a black sharpie and then taped mini wooden spoons (Michael’s) adorned with a green vine on the back. It was pretty much a snap and his teachers were thrilled to have ONE thing at the party that could pass as healthy. I barely know myself right now.
We made the same S’more Halloween Fun treat for the baby’s teacher that we took to the PCP’s parent/teacher conference the day before. He dropped it three times while trying to give it to her – the corner was dented in, the tag was hanging off and the graham cracker on top was definitely in three pieces – but she didn’t seem to mind at all :-)
And as for the party… well, the baby had a grand ol time indeed! I mean, how could he not all decked out in Captain America garb?!?! The baby didn't participate in singing a single song and made nary a hand motion, but he smiled brilliantly throughout the performance :-)
And just as soon as the show was over, he returned to his usual silly self.
After countless baseball games for big brother it sure felt good to spend an afternoon celebrating the littlest member of the W family!!
xoxo
