A Couple of Master Bedroom Projects and a NEW Pillow Cover GIVEAWAY!
Seeing how I didn't have time to do any of the other posts I have in my head right now I thought I would just do a super quick post and show a couple of the tiny updates I did in our master bedroom to get ready for the COTM feature and also do a GIVEAWAY for one of the new pillow covers that we will have available in our shop on Monday.
The first thing I did was use a sharpie and add the word "reve" to the large bolster pillow I made when we first moved in here. I actually am planning on making a whole new pillow to go there but just added the script to update it a bit for now. The other thing I did was add some ruffles to our lamp shade like I did in the nursery. I do plan on doing a tutorial for this soon but really it is the easiest project in the world. I just cut three long strips of fabric and then ruffled it on my machine and then used my glue gun to attach it to the shade. I don't even think it took me twenty minutes to do each one. After I did the one in the nursery I knew I had some black fabric out in my scrap fabric box in the garage and thought it would be the quickest way to spruce up my nightstand area in our master bedroom too. Because it is a solid fabric and is much heavier weight than the one in the nursery I think it has a little bit of a different feel but I still am happy with it seeing how it was free and so easy to do. I eventually will probably do something different in here but for now it is at least better than the plain shade that was in here before.

On Monday we will have some more Je T'aime pillow covers for sale as well as more Audrey Hepburn ones and the new one shown below! And guess what? They will be sewn a million times better than the last two bunches were. I printed them earlier this week and then hired a wonderful seamstress who is sewing them up for me. I am so incredibly excited. I am an extremely amateur sewer and was so nervous sending out those last two rounds of pillow covers. I am so excited that we will now be shipping out ones that are sewn beautifully!
I sewed up this first one so that I could take some photos to have ready to list but now that we have someone really sewing them properly I don't want to sell any more that I have sewn so I thought we would give this one away to one of you!

I am STILL trying to get a photograph of Miss Lillie wearing the new dress my mom made for her. We will be listing a few of them in the shop. I am about to give up though and just photograph it on the dress form. I thought if I let her jump around on the new bed (which she begs to do every day) and let her put on the hat she found in a drawer earlier in the day which she really had outgrown, I could get a few shots of the full dress but once I pulled my camera out she plopped herself down and pouted and of course I couldn't get any of the full dress. Arghhh!
Have a wonderful weekend!
