Inspiration From The Blogasphere 6 - Food, DIY & More

Image
I haven't had a great deal of time this week to spend on the blog but still managed to find some inspiration from around the world. I love to see "up-cycled" objects like these fabulous light bulbs below re-designed by David Saltzberg and available from his Etsy shop, Sasquatchs Creations. A while ago I shared Jenny Hobicks diy Ottoman , today I've found another clever idea, upcycling a coffee table into a tasteful ottoman from Not So Newly Wed McGees  a blog with lots of lovely ideas. Love these stenciled Moroccan stairs - image via Wanelo Great chalkboard idea - hop over to Dear Lillie to see step by step instructions on "how to". Just some pretty inspiration for your next cupcakes, we always strive to make our cupcakes colourful but these simple white cupcakes are gorgeous - image via tumbler  (Life Without Worries). Still on icing... fellow kiwi blogger, Rachel McMahon from one of my favourite  blogs, "Made From Scratch"  now runs baking cours...

Dreamy Dwelling {It’s Overflowing}

Image
I was beyond flattered when Aimee at It’s Overflowing invited little old me to be a featured home in her Dreamy Dwellings series!  I mean, I’m keeping seriously good company over there with Reese Witherspoon and the Southern Living Idea House for crying out loud!!  So, hop on over and give it a look see.  Many many thanks to Aimee for the feature and for always leaving me such kind notes – she’s always a bright spot in my blog roll!! It seems that all my good news is colliding in one day…and as if TWO super flattering blog features aren’t enough, I’m about to scoot out the door to an afternoon movie (resplendent with popcorn, goobers and cokes) with bestie F and NO littles!! xoxo

  As summer holidays are finished and everything is going back to normal, the employees in our workshop are busy preparing and finishing clients’ projects. I would love to share with you today one of our latest projects we are working on : a bespoke wardrobe closet created from highly durable french oak. After having discussed the design with our clients, I tried to collect some images for my inspiration (I am sorry to not know the source of them) , before starting the design plans of the cabinetry.   Love the way the cabinet doors and drawers are divided.   Simple but beautiful drawer unit.   Love the shoeracks here.   Clarifying!   Glass fronted drawers. Gorgeous!   Hanging rails compartment.   Design plan of the cabinetry Exterior   Inside   At the left side of the cabinetry wall we installed a paneled mirror. At the right side of the cabinetry wall our client loved to see a built in bookcase.   Here ...

Hi, and happy Friday,  hard to believe it's Labor Day weekend!! We are getting away for a couple of days and hope to beat the traffic.  I was going to keep my current post running through the weekend but remembered I have a really neat guest post over at Party Resources , definitely one of my favorite blogs for all kinds of fabulous entertaining tips, awesome food and menu ideas and a chic inside take on all kinds of fabulous destinations. Here's a sneak peek of my post.......... Kate's new series is entitled "I do II" and I am honored to be helping her kick it off! Its all about how we would plan our wedding if we were to get married again! It was great fun to prepare (as I love anything to do with weddings and often fantasize about how I would really do it, given the chance) so this was the next best thing.  I do hope you will take a peek, click here to visit. For those of you who did not see my mid week musings post...here it is! Enjoy your Labor Day weekend, ...
