Rosemary Beach: Evening in Seaside
First things first, Honey and I were beyond thrilled to find out that our DIY Basement Reno was project of the week at One Project Closer!! Rhoda over at Southern Hospitality was the guest judge for the week and, given her immaculate taste and sense of style, that made winning even sweeter. We received a $50 gift card to Amazon and a $100 donation to Habitat for Humanity has been made on our behalf.
There are two months left in the weekly contest, so there is plenty of time to get in on the fun. At the end of the summer readers will get to vote for the grand prize finalist so know I'll be pestering y'all for your vote come September :-)
If you haven't already, check out the year long basement reno details here!
Now, back to vacation...
Each year on our annual beach trip, we hop over to Seaside to spend an evening shopping, dining and playing on the green. So, after a day of scootering in our skivvies, drinking pina coladas at the pool, lounging on the porch, and running around the sprayground…
…we headed into Seaside! The men plus John hit up our favorite haunt, Great Southern, for a beer and oyster fest happy hour (I’m talking four dozen each – which means 48 more shells for moi!!) And the gals poured through our very favorite shoppe – Pizitz Home & Cottage.
Hot and hungry, we joined up with the guys at Great Southern for supper on the porch. As usual, the mojitos were divine and the grilled shrimp with gouda grits, slaw and hush puppies were delish!
We wrapped up our fantastic night with a Seaside Rep Theater production of Beanie and the Bamboozling Book Machine at the amphitheatre on the green.
Sister’s Mister just got back with banana splits from the Sugar Shak and I hear my family beating a path to the door…
xoxo
