White Paint Makes it Perfect…

Isn’t it wonderful what a little paint can do for a piece of furniture that you have really grown a little weary with?

I have had this secretary for several years….

It was actually my nanny’s,  and I really didn’t feel like I should paint it.  Until recently…I decided that she wouldn’t mind and would be happy that I was happy with it.


And, happy I am with how it looks now.

As much as I love white furniture, there are still a lot of pieces in our home that are dark.  I really enjoy mixing it all together.


Let me tell you how totally inspired I was spending the week with Becky from Buckets of Burlap and going to the beautiful Laurie Anna's Vintage Home.


I think I have spent pretty much the entire week catching up on laundry, taking care of some outside jobs and yes, rearranging, painting and playing in my house.  Such fun…

Actually, there are 2 wonderful art exhibitions at the musem BOZAR in Brussels, which ar really not to miss! From Friday 11.2 till Sunday 08.05 : VENETIAN AND FLEMISH MASTERS Bellini, Tiziano, Canaletto – Van Eyck, Bouts, Jordaens,… Following their initial collaboration in 2009, which focused on the collection of the House of Savoy, the museums of Flanders and of northern Italy are once again putting their respective schools of painting into perspective with a stunning selection of pictures.
